Viktoras Baltutis was one of The Australian Lithuanian Community’s great movers and shakers.
One of his many achievements includes establishing the Australian Lithuanian Community Archives which are our national treasure repository.

An exhibition was shown in the museum at Adelaide Lithuanian House at 6 Eastry Street Norwood across Christmas 2018 detailing his journey and efforts in helping establish, not just an Adelaide community but a unified Australian Lithuanian community. For details, please contact the Archives.

Viktoras Baltutis’ book, in particular, chronicles stories and journals of World War II, living in a Displaced Person’s camp, coming to Australia and Australian Lithuanian Community life. A record of these times has been touched upon by a few authors but each one delves into new insights and depths. A recommended read.
